Before you buy a mist fountain, it is advisable that you learn how to clean maintain it in order to make it last for a long period of time. A mist fountain has several parts that must be cleaned frequently. Some of its parts include the mist maker fog unit, fountain parts, ceramic replacement discs, and fountain bowls among others. This fountain is not expensive when it comes to maintenance as many people have thought - it is one of the simplest appliances that one can take good care of.

You do not have to clean it every day but only when water is depleted. When cleaning the your device, you have to ensure that you clean everything that it contains, including its stand.

Before you buy a mist fountain, you must think carefully and decide where to place it because mist is water and therefore one of its properties is that it condenses. At times the mist can over flow from the fountain’s bowl to the stand. This explains why you should not place a your fountain on what you treasure the most without protecting it first.

You must strictly follow the directions on how to care for your mist fountain, as it requires occasional cleaning to enable it to work properly. When you do so, you will be able to enjoy its gentle splashing of water as you relax and do other things.

When it comes to cleaning the mist unit or the fog maker, you should first of all wet a soft cloth or a cotton swab with some gentle and soap water. The second step is to clean gently around each and every Led lights around the outer edge of the fog maker. Do the same with the ceramic disc and dry it with a clean soft cloth. When cleaning the mist unit or the fountain bowl, it is best to do it in your sink though it is not a must. First of all, add soapy water into the sink then unplug the adapter from the socket and the mist unit. After doing so, pick up your bowl and take to the sink, drain out the dirty water but note that the end of the cord must be kept out of water until you finish the washing.

Remember that all parts of the mist fountain must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed carefully with clean water before adding fresh water into the fountain.
